Iowa Scores

Dear CCS Families,

We are excited to announce that our students have achieved exceptional results on the

2023-2024 Iowa Assessment, demonstrating significant growth across key academic

areas. This Iowa assessment is given to students across the nation, and the data

indicates that our students continue to score above the national average in all areas.

Our schoolwide core score is at the Mastery level, an impressive benchmark that

showcases our teachers’ and students' hard work and dedication. This achievement is

particularly noteworthy as it indicates that our students are excelling in reading

comprehension, written expression, conventions of writing, vocabulary, mathematical

practices, and computation, consistently performing above benchmark levels. Such

results reflect our commitment to rigorous academic standards, professional

development, and the effectiveness of our educational programs.

The Iowa Assessment not only measures student performance but also serves as a vital

tool for monitoring growth, indicating college and career readiness, and evaluating mastery

of next-generation skills. These assessments are essential in preparing our students for

future academic challenges and ensuring they are equipped for success beyond the

classroom.

Below outlines specific accomplishments that are noteworthy:

• 15% of our students scored Advanced.

• 50% of our students scored Mastery, which is an 11% increase from 2022-2023.

• 65% of our students scored Mastery or higher, which is an 8% increase from 2022-

2023.

• 97% of our students scored benchmark or higher, which is a slight increase from

2022-2023.

• 68% of our 7TH and 8th graders have an ACT predictor score of 24 or higher. The

national average ACT score is 19.5.

We are incredibly proud of our students and the progress they have made. These results

are a testament to the hard work of our educators, the support of our families, and the

determination of our students.

As we celebrate this achievement, we remain committed to fostering an environment that

promotes Christian character development and continuous learning and growth for all

students. We look forward to building on this success in the coming years.
